TESTS

Exome Sequencing

Metastatic FFPE core needle biopsies were used to investigate mutations, copy number variation, a
nd chromosomal changes in protein-coding regions of the genome with clinical relevance based
on association with response to targeted therapy. Analysis was performed by Paradigm and Tgen.

FISH

Metastatic FFPE core needle biopsies were used to analyze gene amplification of biomarkers
involved in the response to targeted therapy. Analysis was performed by CARIS.

IHC

Metastatic FFPE core needle biopsies were used to identify proteins that are known predictors o
f response to targeted compounds or standard chemotherapy. Analyses were performed by CARIS.

RNA

Snap-frozen metastatic core needle biopsies were used to measure changes in the expression levels o
f genes that are known predictors of response to targeted compounds or standard chemotherapy. Analysis was performed by CARIS.

RPPA

Snap-frozen metastatic core needle biopsies were used to measure the activation levels of proteins that are direct
targets and downstream effectors of targeted compounds. Analysis was performed by Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine, George Mason University.
